Steps to make Thami Latto:

  1. First golden fry sliced onion and garlic seperatly..
  2. Now fry samosa pati for crackers..
  3. Boiled potatoes and cut in cubes. Slices cabbage and set a side. Boil half packet noodles as per packet instructions..
  4. For Red Rice : soaked 2 cup rice. Now in a pan add oil 1 cup, add salt to taste, and red chilli powder, chicken powder 2tsp and add rice and water accordingly. When water dries put them in dum for about 10 mins..
  5. For Black chickpeas : heat oil add Curry pattay, ginger garlic paste, and black chickpeas mix well, now add spices, salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric and saute well..
  6. Dries out completely if any water..
  7. Set all ingredients. Black chickpeas, potatoes, cabbage, fried onion, garlic and Imli pulp (add salt and bhuna zeera in Imli pulp and some water).
  8. Now the part is how to assemble, first layer rice, then noodles, potatoes, black chickpeas, cabbage, fried onions and garlic, crackers and Imli pulp. Burmese people also add dried shrimp powder but we don't like thats why not added. U can add according to your taste..
